2015–2018 從砍七天國定假日到工時制度彈性化

摘要:

自 2015 年迄今的兩波《勞基法》修法,無論是國民黨還是民進黨執政, 都不斷協助鬆綁工時制度,這是令人深感遺憾的發展。本文首先說明台灣勞工 為什麼要爭取恢復七天的國定假日,其背後的脈絡為何。接著批判政府在修法的過程不斷鬆綁工時制度,以致背離《勞基法》為保障弱勢勞工的立法精神。

The Elimination of Seven National Holidays and Loosening the Rule for Working Hours: 2015–2018

Abstract:

It is rather unfortunate that the amendments of the Labor Standards Act initiated by both the Kuomintang and the Democratic Progressive Party since 2015 loosen the regulation of working hours. This essay is divided into two parts. First, the author recounts the context in which the Taiwan laborers campaigned for the restoration of 7 National Holidays. Secondly, he criticizes the amendments of the Labor Standards Act as going against the original spirit of the Act which aimed at protecting vulnerable workers.
