中共自 2014 年起,在其所統治的東突厥斯坦(中國稱新疆維吾爾自治區)建立所謂「再教育營」,關押維吾爾人。為調查再教育營涉及的種族滅絕罪行,世界維吾爾代表大會推動成立「維吾爾法庭」,以調查對維吾爾人「持續不斷的暴行及可能的種族滅絕罪行」。希望透過證據的公開展示,激發國際社會對中國政府採取行動,並給予法律上的種種究責。本文說明「維吾爾法庭」推動的背景、組成、審理的經過、判決及其影響。

Since 2014, the People’s Republic of China has established so-called “reeducation camps” to detain Uyghurs in East Turkestan (known in China as the Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region). To investigate the “continued atrocities and possible genocide” against Uyghurs involved in the reeducation camps, the World Uyghur Congress has promoted the establishment of a “Uyghur Tribunal”, hoping that by bringing evidence to light, the international community will take action to arouse international criticism of the Chinese government and hold it accountable for its crimes. This article explains the background, composition, trial process and judgment of the “Uyghur Tribunal” and its impact.
